Flood Relief Campaign volunteer Jawad Ahmad of 4th year conducted a relief camp on September 8th, 2010 in the Village of Shabbara, Charsadda. Located along the banks of the Khayali River, Shabbara has approximately 100 flood affected famalies who have been identified until now. Jawad and Dr. Abdullah (a recent graduate of Ayub Medical College) reached Shabbara along with bags of food, clothing, shoes and medication. There they met Mr. Naveed who helped them identify flood affected families and distribute relief goods amongst them. Medicines worth Rs.17,000 were distributed free of charge to 130 patients, whom our team treated. The most prevalent diseases present were skin infections and conjunctivitis.
