Relief Reaches Gilgit

Ayub Medical College's Flood Relief Campaign has now reached Gilgit. Mr. Shahid Awan (Finance Coordinator, Disaster Management Centre - ) and Mr. Mohammad Haneef (Office Boy, Disaster Management Centre - Office Boy) were sent along with three minitrucks (Shahzaor) with relief items to the flood stricken town of Gahkuch in Ghizer District (of Gilgit Division). The relief items are currently stocked at the Green Valley Hotel in Gahkuch.
Members of APPNE (Association of Pakistani Physicians of New England) are already on site to help distribute aid and to treat patients as well. Items sent to Gahkuch were:
  • 100 School bags
  • 200 Bags of Food
  • 40 Sacks of Clothing Items, Shoes & Hygiene Kits
